Dominion National Donates Dental Kits to Celebrate National Children's Dental Health Month

Arlington, Va. – In celebration of National Children’s Dental Health Month, Dominion National — a leading dental and vision insurer and administrator — is donating thousands of dental care kits to local clinics and health departments throughout the mid-Atlantic region.

The kits include toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss and fun facts promoting the importance of maintaining oral health. This marks the 10th consecutive year Dominion has donated dental kits.

Tooth decay is one of the most common chronic childhood diseases, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Left untreated, tooth decay can have serious consequences, including problems with eating, speaking and learning. The good news: Cavities are preventable and Dominion aims to make an impact.

“Dental health is more than a bright smile — it’s essential to overall wellness,” said Dominion President Mike Davis. “National Children’s Dental Health Month is devoted to raising awareness and helping to lay a strong foundation for good oral health. Our team is excited to join other dedicated professionals, healthcare providers and educators by providing children in local communities with the tools they need to develop healthy habits.”
